    Prior to his appointment at Westminster, Jeff served seven years at North Cross School in Roanoke, Va. During his time as marketing director, he was responsible for overall marketing and communications efforts including advertising, branding, publications, social media and the website. Previous positions at the school included teaching graphic design and digital art classes for grades 8-12.

    Jeff was the principal at Kennard Creative for 23 years and has served as the creative director for The Wallace Agency and John Lambert Associates, all in Roanoke. Other experience has included serving as an art director with Katie Wallace Design and Rapp Collins Worldwide and as a graphic designer for the Houston Chronicle. In addition, he has been an adjunct design instructor at Virginia Western Community College, Radford University and Roanoke College.

    Jeff and his wife, Hilary, live in Simsbury. Their son, Elliott ’19, is a recent graduate of Lewis & Clark College. Their daughter, Julia, is a graduate of Trinity College and works at Berkshire School in Sheffield, Mass. Jeff’s interests include running, cycling and hiking. An Eagle Scout, Jeff is also an assistant scoutmaster with Troop 25 in Manchester, Conn.

    Wendy Carlson joins the Marketing Department at Westminster School as associate director of publications and communications.
     
    In her new role, Wendy will be responsible for many external and internal communication initiatives of the school, including print publications, electronic communications, media and public relations, and website content. She will also support the marketing and communications needs of the head of school as well as the needs of the offices of advancement, admissions, and college counseling.
     
    Wendy joins Westminster from The Hotchkiss School, where she worked for the last seven years and was editor of the thrice-yearly published magazine. She generated themes, conducted interviews, produced stories and photography for the publication. Prior to her tenure at Hotchkiss, she worked in corporate communications, as well as contributing articles and photography to The New York Times and the News-Times in Danbury, Conn.
     
    Wendy holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst as well as a Master of Arts degree in journalism from the University of Missouri.

    Bio
     
    Audra joined Westminster School in 2007 after working at a marketing communications firm in Farmington, Conn., where she filled the roles of information technology director, media coordinator and assistant account manager. Audra is a graduate of Katharine Gibbs School, Boston, and holds an A.A.S. in computer information systems from Kaplan University. At Westminster, she works with the technology department members to manage the information, voice and audiovisual technology on campus as well as working with students, faculty and staff to resolve all technology related issues. In addition she serves on the Advisory Board and is a member of the Web Committee. 

    Audra lives in Simsbury with her husband, Doug, their two sons, Tim ’17, a graduate of Hobart and William Smith Colleges, and David ’21, a senior at Indiana University, and their faithful German Shorthaired Pointer, Chloe. Audra enjoys spending time with family and friends, and, any chance she gets, spending time outdoors, hiking, skiing, golfing and working in her gardens.

    Bio
     
    At Westminster, Tyler creates video content for the school’s website and social media accounts, coordinates livestreaming of selected school events, manages the school’s presence on social media and web-based platforms, and posts athletic scores and highlights. He is also head coach of Varsity Baseball. He previously worked in the communications office at The Hotchkiss School for seven years as the videographer and digital media specialist and served as head coach of the varsity baseball program for five seasons. During his time at Hotchkiss, he recruited baseball players nationally, and his team climbed in the standings each year. In his time as head coach at Westminster, he has guided the team to a 40-21 record. Westminster has made the Founders League playoffs in two of the three seasons it has existed. He has sent players to Columbia, Army-West Point, Pitt, Williams, The University of Chicago, Trinity, Middlebury, Hamilton, Colby, and coached the 2019 NESCAC Pitcher of the Year (RJ Hall - Tufts). Currently, players in the program are committed to Vanderbilt, Boston College, Brown, and College of Charleston. Additionally, Tyler holds a Mental Performance Mastery Coaching Certification from Brian Cain, Peak Performance.

    Before joining Hotchkiss, Tyler was a three-year starter on the baseball team at Fairfield University, where he earned a B.A. in English. As co-captain in 2012, he hit .301 to help Fairfield to the then-record of most wins in school history. He played two summers in the NCAA-sanctioned Northwoods League and was named Northwoods League Gold Glove Winner at first base in 2011 and a top-50 Position Player in the league. He also was a contributing writer and assistant sports editor of the Fairfield University student newspaper.

    Prior to playing at Fairfield, Tyler was an All-State selection at East Hampton High School, where he helped the Bellringers to a Shoreline Conference Championship as a senior captain. He was named the Shoreline Conference Player of the Year in 2008, as well as earning All-State, All-Conference, All-Area, CHSCA Senior All-Star, New Haven Register All-State and Scholar-Athlete accolades.

    Tyler lives with his wife Kelly, who serves as a Westminster dean (Class of 2025), Varsity Girls’ Soccer coach, math teacher, and dorm head, their daughter Remi, and their two labs Yogi and Tug, in Kelter House.
